Quick history:
- Born in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, at North Memorial Hospital on 8/20/1964.
- Raised in Monticello, MN until somewhen about the Bicentennial. I remember NSP putting in the Nuke Plant back when I was a little chillun. Seeing the radiation monitors scattered downwind from the plant is a childhood memory.
- Moved to Fergus Falls, MN for a couple years. It's nearly in North Dakota.
- I spent most of high school at St. John's Prep School in Collegeville, MN.
- One year of that (my junior year), I went to school in Stiftskonvikt Melk in Melk, Austria. A map of the area I lived in is available. The pictures you see on the Melk page is Stift Melk.
- Here's a link to SJU, the University that shares the campus with the Prep School I attended and also with the Benedictine monastery.
- Attended the University of Minnesota until I got bored and ran out of money. It's a pretty good school if you don't mind a huge impersonal place that costs too much. It's located in Minneapolis, MN, which is a great city to live in.
- Moved to Cupertino, CA when I went to work for Apple in August of 1995.
- Got tired of the high rents in Silicon Valley, so now I'm back in Minneapolis, MN, living in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood again (and running the website).
- Worked for a while at various places. See the resume if you're really interested. The list of Minnesota's Computer Companies, while large and impressive, is kind of scary to me, since I know people who's worked at over a third of them.

- I also write. Examples are my mead book, these pages, and a few develop columns:
