In the second half of September, 2002, I took a vacation on my own. Flew from Minneapolis to Winnipeg, then took the train across to Vancouver, a shuttle-bus to Seattle, Amtrak to Oakland, a night in San Fransicso, and then took in O'Reilly's Mac OS X conference in San Jose. When that was done, I flew home and tried to recover. This is the account of that trip.
